Pöyry awarded engineering services assignment for new solar power plant in Brazil

Pöyry has been awarded an assignment for the provision of project management and
engineering consulting services in support of the construction of a solar power
plant in Bahia, Brazil. Due to contractual obligations, the client's name will
not be disclosed.
The services include owner's engineering, design review, construction and
assembly supervision, commissioning supervision, financial monitoring, contract
administration and Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) supervision.
Located in the State of Bahia, the plant will have an installed capacity of 30
MWac, and has a 20-year power purchase agreement that was awarded in the August
2015 reserve energy auction conducted by Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica
(ANEEL).

practices in the implementation of large projects, including in the area of

The construction phase started in July 2017, and the goal is to provide energy
to the grid by January 2018.
