Celebrating Pride in Les Menuires: The European Gay Ski Week

European Gay Ski Week is a brilliant annual festival taking place in and around Les Menuires from the 17th to 24th March. The resort is transformed into a Mecca for gay skiers and snowboarders who flock to the Three Valleys for a weekend of partying, music, skiing and meeting new people in a friendly environment.
Skiing & Snowboarding
Les Menuires is part of the Three Valleys, which is the largest interconnected ski region in the entire world! This means that there is more than enough to keep you entertained on the slopes and you are sure to develop your abilities whilst skiing in Les Menuires.
The resort itself is perfectly situated in the Three Valleys at 1850m on a west facing slope, so you get sunshine right through to the evening here. This makes it a real gem and somewhere that all abilities will enjoy skiing. There is more than enough variety for all abilities on the slopes, but you can also enjoy some peace and quiet with an introduction to off-piste which will show you the great beauty of the area.
There will be a number of ski classes and group excursions available throughout the week which is a great way to develop your skills, meet new people and explore the vast region. I recommend getting a six-day lift pass for the full Three Valleys so that you can really make the most of all the skiing opportunities here.
Non-Skiing
Skiing in Les Menuires will be a big part of the trip, but don’t forget about all the fun to be had away from the slopes! There will be an incredible amount of entertainment during the week and it will be a fantastic celebration of gay pride.
The International Welcome Party will be a top way to kickstart the week with everyone encouraged to represent their country by wearing national colours. This is a good chance to make some new friends, have a laugh and enjoy the fun atmosphere with a few drinks.
Other highly anticipated non-skiing events throughout the week include epic Après parties once the slopes close each day, pool parties, club nights and fondue and raclette nights. There will also be daily cabaret shows which you will not want to miss!
Accommodation
There is a wide variety of accommodation available for groups of friends, including ca-tered or self-catered chalets. Be warned, offers that are specific to this event are likely to get snapped up quickly.
