Bosch and MEKRA Lang are pleased to receive the CES 2019 Innovation Award in the category "Vehicle Intelligence and Self-Driving Technology" for the Digital VisionSystem presented in 2018
(PresseBox) - The jury of the Consumer Technology Association honors the mission of both companies to continuously improve road safety worldwide.
Presented at the IAA 2018 in Hanover, Germany, the Digital VisionSystem (DVS) from MEKRA Lang and Bosch now receives the prestigious CES 2019 Innovation Award. The revolutionary DVS replaces the classic, large exterior mirrors in trucks with aerodynamically optimized camera wings from MEKRA Lang and high-resolution monitors from Bosch in the driver?s cab. The advantages are improved safety, lower fuel consumption and higher ergonomics for the driver. As the world?s first system for trucks, the DVS meets all functional safety requirements (ISO 26262) as well as the legal requirements (UN/ECE-R 46) and additionally supports OEM-specific overlays. MEKRA Lang is delighted to receive the award for the Digital VisionSystem ? developed in close cooperation with Bosch ? and the series application in the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz Actros in spring 2019.
