At the same time, his membership in the GroupExecutive Committee will end. However, Teuvo Salminen has committedhimself to continuing, at least until the end of 2010, as a part timeadvisor to ensure a smooth transition and knowledge transfer. Thereassignment of his current responsibility areas will be announced indue course.After joining Pöyry in 1985, Teuvo Salminen, M.Sc. (Econ.), CPAinitially acted as the company's Chief Financial Officer, and lateron he headed also the Construction and Infrastructure & Environmentbusiness groups. Since 1989 he has been a member of the GroupExecutive Committee, and in 1999 he was appointed Deputy to thePresident and CEO."In his various positions Teuvo Salminen has played a key role indeveloping Pöyry into an international company with diversifiedoperations. During the past few years his role in our strategyprocess as well as in our mergers and acquisitions activities hasbeen especially important", says Henrik Ehrnrooth, Chairman of theBoard of Pöyry PLC.
