Extensions to DIHART Reamax® TS plug'n ream Construction kit for reaming
(PresseBox) - The DIHART Reamax® TS tooling system is modular and makes it possible to design tools individually with a high degree of flexibility. With a wider range of coatings and optional KOMET ABS® connection, the high-performance reaming systems can be adapted to applications even more individually.
The structure and diameter of the DIHART Reamax® TS reaming heads can be designed for any application using the plug'n ream construction kit. They can be replaced quickly and easily on their toolholder. This saves on tool costs and increases flexibility due to quick availability. The handling of reaming tools is also made significantly easier since there is no need for tiresome setting and adjustment tasks. Another advantage of this modularity is the wide range of optional coating variants, from which users can find the most suitable solution for their materials. In addition to the extremely successful high-performance DBG-N coating, the KOMET GROUP has now developed an alternative coating in the form of DBF, which is suitable for machining cast iron, nodular cast iron and vermicular cast iron. The DBF coating is particularly abrasion-resistant and is suitable for fast cutting speeds.The DBC coating is intended to provide power, i.e. faster machining. It is ideal for aluminium wrought alloys, aluminium cast alloys with a low silicon content and copper alloys. As a so-called 'diamond-like carbon coating' it makes fast cutting speeds possible.A new coating that is now available is known as DJF. This a AlCrN-coated Cermet, which is particularly suitable for use in nodular cast iron workpieces. This gives users more ways of reacting to the increasing number of material qualities with individual tool design in order to optimise cutting values, which also has to be done extremely quickly for ISO H7 fits, because all of these coatings are also immediately available from stock in the DIHART standard product ranges.
Even more flexibility and individual tool design is provided by the KOMET ABS® connection, with which the DIHART Reamax® TS tooling system can be optionally equipped. The KOMET ABS® coupling system provides various extensions and adapters with which users can also use their existing ABS interfaces for reaming, and quickly adapt reaming tools to length/diameter situations without necessarily having to fall back on special tools.
