From an elevated position an infrared camera can visualize a large thermographic overview for a variety of applications. With drones, helicopters or planes, equipped with a thermal camera stabilized by a gimbal mount, fire fighters detect sources of ignition and map fires. Aerial thermography is also used for agricultural and geological research, thermal mapping, airborne inspection and maintenance of long-distance power lines and many more.
At InfraTec, we have been providing airborne thermography systems and infrared cameras for many years. Users can trust in the design and reliability of our systems, regardless of which airborne application they are considering. During the online event, Adam Boniecki from Trakka Systems will present the use of airborne thermography for utility and environmental inspections, addressing the challenges and practical experiences. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker and the specialists from InfraTec.
A Glimpse at the Online Event
Aerial thermography: Definition, benefits, types, presence and future
Applications for thermography in airborne remote sensing
Challenges of aerial thermography
Technical requirements for an IR camera system
Comparing cooled and uncooled camera systems
Important and relevant selection criteria
Accessories (hardware and software) needed to solve the measurement task
The InfraTec infrared sensor and measurement technology company was founded in 1991 and has its headquarters in Dresden, Germany. The privately held company employs more than 240 employees and has its own design, manufacturing and distribution capabilities.
With its infrared measurement business unit, InfraTec is one of the leading suppliers of commercial thermal imaging technology. In addition to the high-end camera series ImageIR® and the camera series TarisIR® and VarioCAM® High Definition, InfraTec offers turnkey thermographic automation solutions e. g. for industry processes, non-destructive testing and fire detection and prevention.
The infrared sensor division produces custom-made components – especially pyroelectrical infrared detectors – for clients worldwide. The product range includes analogue single and multi-channel detectors as well as digital multi-channel detectors (PyrIQ). The detectors are used, for example, in gas analysis, fire and flame sensors and spectroscopy.
