Alter Energy Group appoints Director of Small Hydro Operations

ALTER ENERGY GROUP AG ('AEG')(the 'Company'), Frankfurt Stock Exchange
Ticker Symbol: 39f; WKN: A0MW07; ISIN: CH0032424969, announces that it has
appointed Bernhard Jud as Director of Small Hydro Operations.
Under terms of the appointment Mr. Jud will oversee all technical and
economic aspects for proposed AEG small hydro power plant (SHPP)
development projects and acquisitions. Duties will include: feasibility
study preparation, technical schemes, equipment selection and purchasing as
well as oversight of the local construction, engineering project
development companies to properly manage all aspects of project
implementation and operational set-up.
Edward J. Klaeger IV, CEO of AEG stated, 'The appointment Bernhard Jud
gives AEG the critical project oversight upper management position we have
sought for some time. Jud brings a long and successful track record of
small hydro project development and has been responsible for building 31
small hydro stations in 15 countries during his 23 years of experience in
the industry. Mr. Jud gives AEG the technical, operational and economic
expertise that is necessary to successfully implement our SHPP strategy and
is already working on two projects for AEG in Ukraine that are in the final
pre-funding stage. Mr. Jud is also the founder and CEO of IBJ Consulting
Engineers, a well established Austrian based SHPP development, engineering
and project management company that also has the ability to provide
third-party financing for qualified projects, making Mr. Jud the ideal
appointment for this position at AEG. We are extremely pleased with the
decision of Mr. Jud to join the AEG team.'
