(Thomson Reuters ONE) - (Kourou, French Guiana, 30 October 2009) Telenor SatelliteBroadcasting is pleased to announce the successful launch of its newgeo stationary satellite, THOR 6.THOR 6 was successfully launched from the Guiana Spaceport at 21:00CET, October, 29, onboard the Ariane 5 ECA launcher. This isArianespace's 34th consecutive successful launch. "I was delighted to see THOR 6 successfully launched intogeostationary transfer orbit and look forward to entering commercialservice and further developing the 1 degree west hotspot, whichalready addresses 15 million homes in the Nordic region and Centraland Eastern Europe", said Cato Halsaa, Vice President and CEO ofTelenor Satellite Broadcasting AS.
