Commercial, Residential Properties to Sell in Atlanta, Macon Auctions
(firmenpresse) - MARIETTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/21/11 -- A former Bruster's Ice Cream location, 85 townhouse lots and a Macon office building will be among dozens of bank-owned properties to be auctioned Nov. 15-16, with handling the sale.
The auction includes properties in 28 different counties, with most clustered in the greater Metro Atlanta area and in the areas around Macon and Warner Robins, according to John Dixon, president of the Marietta-based auction company. The auction features properties being sold by several different Georgia banks, investors and other owners.
"By including properties from different sellers, we're able to offer even more for the bidders who see this as an opportunity to acquire real estate at a substantial discount to the price they'd have paid a few years ago," said Dixon.
Most of the properties will sell at absolute auction, with no minimum or reserve bid.
"We'll start on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in Macon, where we'll sell approximately 35 properties, including a two-story historic office building in Macon," said Dixon. The office building is located at 664 Arlington Place. Other properties selling in the Macon auction will include commercial land, residential land, residential lots, and homes.
The Macon event will begin at 1 p.m. at the Anderson Conference Center at Goodwill, 5171 Eisenhower Parkway.
On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the bidders will gather at the Atlanta Marriott, Century Center, 2000 Century Boulevard Northeast, for the auction of approximately 55 properties, including the former Bruster's location in Powder Springs, residential lots, a lakefront home site on Lake Chatuge, commercial land and homes. Also selling will be 22 resort lots in Tansi Village & Resort, Crossville, Tenn.
