Xenon-Emerald: New high-quality lenses for industrial applications from SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH

ID: 84970

(PresseBox) - Schneider-Kreuznach has expanded its Xenon-Emerald lens series, adding the new Xenon-Emerald 2.8/28 to the existing Xenon-Emerald 2.2/50 and Xenon-Emerald 2.8/100. The focal length of the new lens is 28 mm, with an aperture of 2.8. It is available in two versions, with entry focal lengths from infinity to 550 mm, or from 900 mm to 400 mm. The aperture and focus of this compact and sturdy industry-ready lens can be securely locked, and it is available with M 42, F or C camera mounts.
The lens is designed for universal use with cameras using line scan or surface sensors, with or without micro lenses. The optical design is targeted at use in the visual and near-infrared wavelengths, from 400 to 1000 nm. The optical coating of the individual lenses is optimized for the 400 to 700 nm or 700 to 1000 nm wavelengths to give the best possible transmission in these ranges. There are many industrial applications for these lenses, including machine vision, inspection, traffic supervision and medicine.
More information on these new Schneider-Kreuznach products is available from 8 to 11 November at VISION 2011 in Stuttgart, Hall 4, Stand 4D18. Or visit our website at www.schneiderkreuznach.com.
