Resurrection Medical Group Announces the Opening of Their New Physical Rehabilitation Practice
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 11/14/11 -- Resurrection Medical Group (RMG) announced today the opening of their new physical medicine and rehabilitation unit at Saint Joseph Hospital (SJH), 2900 N. Lake Shore Dr., 12th floor. The new practice will offer comprehensive care in all areas of physical medicine, including musculoskeletal sports medicine, chronic pain management, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, arthritis, stroke, spasticity management through Botox injections, amputations and joint replacement therapy.
The new RMG practice is comprised of David Rosania, M.D., the medical director of Outpatient Therapy Services, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SJH, and Benjamin Friedman, M.D., chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the medical director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at SJH. Both are board certified physicians in physical medicine and rehabilitation and provide rehabilitation consultation in the hospital, as well as the direction of patient care on the acute inpatient and sub-acute rehabilitation units.
Dr. Rosania earned his medical degree from University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Medicine in 1998, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stanford University Medical Center in Stanford, California. He is a diplomat at American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Association of Academic Physiatrists. He specializes in non-operative back and neck pain, chronic pain modulation, spasticity management (including Botox injections), electrodiagnostic studies, workplace and sports injuries.
Dr. Friedman earned his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in 2002. He completed an internship in internal medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and specializes in amputee care, geriatric, orthopedic and stroke rehabilitation.
