maintained profitability in Q3, first nine months sees revenue growth and
profitability, full year profitability anticipated despite DDP start- up
losses
Eindhoven, November 22, 2011 - Catalis SE, the worldwide service provider
for the digital media and entertainment industry, is pleased to announce
its financial results for the third quarter and first nine months of 2011.
Following a positive first half, the Q3 results continue the Group's
profitability:
- Q3 revenues at EUR 7.4m (2010: EUR 7.7m)
- Q3 EBIT at EUR 0.03m (2010: EUR 0.50m)
- EBIT first nine months of 2011 up to EUR 0.5m (2010: EUR -1.9m)
- Nine month revenues increased by 6.1% to EUR 20.9m (2010: EUR 19.7m)
- Nine month earnings per share EUR 0.01 (2010: EUR -0.06)
In the first nine months of the fiscal year 2011, revenues of Catalis Group
were up 6.1% from EUR 19.7m in 2010 to EUR 20.9m. The EBIT increased from a
loss of EUR -1.9m to a profit of EUR 0.5m. In the third quarter of the
fiscal year 2011, revenues of Catalis Group were EUR 7.4m and its EBIT was
EUR 0.03m.
Testronic had revenues for the third quarter of 2011 of EUR 4.1m in line
with those of 2010 of EUR4.4m. Testronic generated an EBIT in the period of
EUR 0.7m (2010: EUR 0.7m). For the first nine months of 2011, revenues
amounted to EUR 10.1m (2010: EUR 9.9m), representing an increase of 2.0%.
Testronic's EBIT for the first nine months of 2011 amounted to EUR 0.7m
(2010: EUR 0.5m), an increase over 2010 of 32.9%.
In the third quarter Kuju generated revenues of EUR 3.3m (2010: EUR 3.3m),
in line with last year. EBIT for the period Q3 showed break-even and
amounted to EUR 0.0m (2010: EUR 0.0m). For the first nine months of 2011
revenues at Kuju amounted to EUR 10.8m (2010: EUR 9.8m), representing an
increase of 10.2%. Kuju's EBIT amounted to EUR 1.2m (2010: EUR -1.7m). This
was a result of careful cost control and new contract signings.
As no games were planned for release in the first nine months of the year,
DDP had an EBIT loss in the third quarter of EUR -0.4m and EUR -0.7m in the
first nine months. DDP is a start-up business in its first full year of
operations. The first DDP games releases are scheduled for Q4.
The outlook for the full year 2011 remains challenging given the wider
world economic environment. The Group expects Kuju and Testronic Labs to
show good annual profitability in 2011. However, DDP is expected to make a
loss of approximately EUR 0.8m. This reflects the fact that the anticipated
launch of DDP games will be in this Q4 and therefore the majority of the
revenues those games generate will only be seen in Q1 2012.
As a result, the 2011 full year Catalis Group revenues are estimated at EUR
28.0m (2010: EUR 25.8m) and the Group operating EBIT at EUR 0.2m (2010:
loss of EUR 1.7m), a strong improvement over 2010 and 2009 despite the loss
at DDP in 2011.
