RagingWire Names George Macricostas as Executive Chairman
(firmenpresse) - SACRAMENTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/21/11 -- RagingWire Data Centers, the nation's premier data center provider, announced today that company founder George Macricostas has been appointed as executive chairman of the board of directors. In this role, George Macricostas will be responsible for RagingWire's overall strategic direction and will provide visionary leadership and financial oversight.
George Macricostas has served in a variety of roles at RagingWire since co-founding the company in 2000 with Yatish Mishra, including chief executive officer and executive vice chairman. George Macricostas is widely credited for staying the course on RagingWire's business model during the dotcom collapse. His foresight resulted in RagingWire's continued expansion and its current position as the world's most advanced data center provider.
RagingWire's board of directors unanimously approved George Macricostas' appointment to this position based on his industry experience and his commitment to the company. "George has provided visionary leadership and strong fiscal oversight since RagingWire's first day of operations," said Deno Macricostas, outgoing chairman of RagingWire's board of directors. "George's vast knowledge of RagingWire's operations makes him the natural successor to the chairman's seat." Deno Macricostas will continue to serve on RagingWire's board of directors in the role of vice chairman.

George Macricostas is a member of the board of directors of the Jane Goodall Institute and was a finalist in the 2007 and 2009 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year program.
