PRESS RELEASE

Q.CELLS expands C&I footprint in the UK and showcases quality and
innovation at Ecobuild 2012

London (UK), 20 March 2012 - Superior technology is not only decking new
rooftops in the UK, it is also going to be displayed at the Q.CELLS stand
at Ecobuild in London from 20-22 March 2012 where German-based Q.CELLS, one
of the world's leading photovoltaic companies, will be exhibiting its
products.

Q.CELLS has a selection of photovoltaic products and solutions that are all
geared to the UK market to meet the demand for a well-designed,
good-looking and reliable product as well as generating consistent levels
of energy even in the low light conditions often prevalent in the UK.

Jonathan Goose, the UK managing director of Q.CELLS, says: 'Our strength is
the technology inside our products. All of them use our own cells,
developed and manufactured by Q.CELLS. Because we control this part of the
value chain, we can be confident about the performance of our modules and
solutions, their consistent yields and how they cope with some of the
low-light conditions prevalent in many parts of the UK. Installers and
distributors we are talking to like what they have seen of our products and
we are proud to showcase them at Ecobuild.'

With regard to its Commercial and Industrial (C&I) business in the UK,
Q.CELLS in collaboration with leading renewable energy solutions provider
UFW Ltd have recently successfully delivered three C&I projects totalling
155kWp. The installations which were delivered in the last two weeks before
the 3rd March FIT deadline, included two roof-top projects on the factories

of a precision engineering business (Ely) and an agricultural seeds firm
(Peterborough), in addition to a ground-mount system on a dairy farm
(Shropshire).

At Ecobuild, the star of the show is Q.CELLS' solar module Q.PEAK, which is
a 60-cell monocrystalline module with an outstanding performance of up to
260 watts (W) and a 15.9% yield. The Q.PEAK module is central to the
Q.CELLS' product portfolio. It is complemented by the aesthetic design of
the Q.PEAK BLK, which shares the same high performance but has a totally
black look more appealing to the grey roofs in the UK.

These modules are particularly well-suited to applications with limited
space on private homes or commercial buildings. Like all of Q.CELLS'
modules and cells, the Q.PEAK outperforms most rival products and will
generate a consistent and effective level of energy from an average UK roof
(40 square metres). Not only will the modules generate the highest yields
and make best use of the available space, they are also the safest and most
reliable monocrystalline solar modules.

The new Q.FLAT solution will also be showcased at the Q.CELLS stand. This
is an integrated application for east/west-facing flat roofs that reduces
installation time, minimises cost and maximises yields. It is a simple and
cost-efficient way to turn a flat roof into a high-yield power plant. The
Q.FLAT system comprises Q.PRO polycrystalline modules that integrate
Q.CELLS innovative technologies and a non-intrusive mounting system.
Despiteits light weight, the system is designed to withstand the toughest
weather conditions.

Each of the modules are produced in Europe and feature Q.CELLS' own
top-quality solar cells that use TRA.Q(TM) technology* (traceable quality)
and because of their reliability come with a 25-year linear performance
warranty as well as a ten-year product warranty. Q.CELLS' commitment to
research and development means all of its products have great benefits for
installers and end users alike. One of the most important advantages is the
integration of Hot-Spot Protect technology, which avoids risk of fire and
Anti PID Technology, which avoids power loss due to the degradation of the
induced potential.

Completing a trio of products is the Q.SMART UF L, which with a yield of up
to 14.7% (aperture area) is the most efficient thin-film CIGS product on
the market (CIGS - copper, indium, gallium, selenium). As well as
incorporating Anti PID Technology, it has an aesthetically pleasing black
finish. The Q.SMART UF L works well in low light, providing 360 efficiency
and generating consistent yields even on cloudy days, or on rooftops that
are not south-facing or partially shaded. This makes them ideally suited to
the UK.

The Q in Q.CELLS stands for quality, and installers, distributors and
consumers will find it in abundance at stand N3820, North Hall.
