Curcas Oil N.V. Corporate Update
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, July 13th, 2010 - Curcas Oil N.V. ('Curcas' or
the 'Company') is pleased to announce the following corporate update.
The Company's subsidiary in the Philippines 'Curcas Oil Philippines Inc.'
announces that as part of its 'contract farming' model over 13.000ha in the
region around General Santos have been successfully integrated. Thus Curcas
was able to almost double its affiliated cultivation area since May of this
year.
In addition to the very successfully running 'contract farming' model,
Curcas Oil began with the construction of its own nursery for Jatropha
seedlings with a capacity of 100,000 seedlings.
Furthermore, the installation of additional press heads, filter units and
seed conveying systems has been successfully completed together with
engineers of the German manufacturer at the facilities in the Philippines.
A locally manufactured silo and an also locally manufactured filling system
have also been installed and are ready. At the same time two foundations
for two tanks with a capacity of 20,000 liters each have been concreted.
The production of crude oil has successfully commenced at the end of last
week.
