Heek, August 31, 2010 - 2G-Bio-Energietechnik AG (2G), one of Germany's
leading manufacturers of combined heat and power (CHP) plants, achieved
significant revenue and earnings growth in the first half of 2010, and
again reports on record new orders. These currently amount to 417 CHP's
with a volume of around EUR 90 million.
2G achieved revenue in the amount of EUR 18.8 million in the first
half-year 2010 (previous year: EUR 9.6 million), and total output, which
displays the temporal delimitation of the order-related manufacturing, of
EUR 30.9 million (previous year: EUR 12.5 million). The operating result
(EBIT) improved from EUR -0.1 million to EUR 1.1 million, and net income
from EUR -0.2 million to EUR 0.7 million. As a consequence, the company
continues to chart a strong growth trend, and is assuming new record
figures for the current second half of the year given the very brisk inflow
of new orders.
2G has achieved further sales successes in recent weeks for both
biogas-driven and natural-gas-driven CHP's. Correspondingly, orders for a
total of 417 systems have been received to date in this financial year (on
July 30, 2010, 2G reported on orders for 341 plants). In this context,
orders for 65 new plants were gained in the natural gas sector, and orders
for 352 new plants in terms of biogas-driven CHP's.
As a consequence, it is already becoming very clear that 2G will present a
new record set of results for the 2010 financial year, after having
generated total revenue of EUR 51.1 million in the previous year on total
production of 202 plants, along with business from the maintenance, service
and after-sales areas. The Management Board is also assuming continued
growth for the 2011 financial year.
