Strong growth continues at 2G
- Management Board upgrades current year expectations
- 2011 H1 revenue up 86% year-on-year
- Production capacity planned at Heek site
Heek, July 21, 2011 - 2G-Bio-Energietechnik AG (2G), one of Germany's
leading manufacturers of combined heat and power (CHP) plants, remains on
its strong growth path according to preliminary figures for the first half
of 2011.
The Group generated revenue of around EUR 35 million as of June 30, 2011
according to preliminary figures. Together with a current order book
position of EUR 90 million for systems due for delivery in 2011, the
company has almost already achieved its full-year revenue target that is
has already communicated. For this reason, the Management Board regards
itself as able to slightly upgrade its expectations for the full year.
In light of the continued positive trend, the Management Board consequently
anticipates total revenue of EUR 135 million for 2011, accompanied by a
slightly faster rate of earnings improvement.
The Management Board has decided to expand the production space at its Heek
location by a further 3,000 m²in order to be able to grow dynamically over
the coming years. As a consequence, 2G will be able to construct up to
1,100 aggregates per year on a total area of 12,000 m²at its Group
headquarters site in western Münsterland, Germany.
The Management will deliver a detailed report on the 2010 financial year at
the Shareholders' General Meeting to be held today in Heek. With revenue up
80% in 2010 to reach EUR 91.9 million, the company generated EBIT profit of
EUR 9.7 million, compared with EUR 3.9 million in the previous year.
The share of consolidated revenue achieved with foreign customers increased
from EUR 6.5 million to EUR 15.2 million, representing 134% growth. These
figures nevertheless only insufficiently reflect 2G's actual success
abroad. For instance, and above and beyond the revenues that were
specifically realized, the company positioned itself very promisingly in
several countries, including in Europe, North America and Asia, and
anticipates rising sales figures in these regions. Numerous orders have
already been reported in the current 2011 financial year, including from
USA, Canada, Japan, Latvia and Russia.
