Famous street art and Graffiti artists promised to come to the Industriebrachenumgestaltung project (IBUg)

In almost one week the doors of the former VEB Leuchtenbau in the centre of Meerane (Poststraße 58) will open for the 20 expected artists. From 15 to 27 August they will realize their creativity in the industrial plant that has not been used for 20 years and they will put a new light on the old halls with spray cans, installations with discovered things and other materials. Changes will be both inside and outside and you can wait with bated breath for the transformation that will happen to the former VEB Leuchtenbau in Meerane. Visitors can explore the object on 28, 29 and 30 August.

(firmenpresse) - Once again the organizers of the IBUg managed to get internationally famous street art and Graffiti artists interested in the event and to invite them to Meerane, situated in the Western part of Saxony. Already for the fourth time a special happening is taking place there in the summer in a formerly used industrial plant that is now in a state of decay. This year Stuka, Tasek, Tasso, Chromeo, Bomber, Hendoc, Loomit, Atem, Dekor, Labor, Rebelzer, David Radon, Zmad47, Andy K, Keos, Zester, Paul Stephani, Quatro, Luke and Ossada said they’re coming. The IBUg organizers are in contact with further artists.

In three weeks, on 28, 29 and 30 August, the interested public can go and see for itself on the spot what had been created behind big walls and closed doors during this year’s IBUg. Last year more than one thousand visitors took the opportunity to see the Street art and Graffiti artists at the IBUg and to talk to the creators of the special artworks. This will also be possible this year. On these three days you can also buy works of the artists that are of course smaller than the metre-high walls of the old industrial wasteland in Poststraße 58 in Meerane.
