(Thomson Reuters ONE) - PÿYRY PLC Press release 29 September 2009 at 2.15 p.m.PÿYRY AWARDED DISTRICT HEATING SYSTEM ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT ANDSUPPLY CONTRACT IN CHINAPöyry has been awarded an engineering, procurement and supplycontract for a 78 MW district heating system in Pucheng County,Shaanxi province, China. The value of the contract is EUR 4.2million.Pucheng Central Heating Company is installing a green field districtheating system for the heating of residential and public buildings inthe centre of Pucheng County. The heat will be supplied from a nearbycoal-fired power plant which will be modified to combined heat andpower operation. The project will improve air quality in the city byreducing the use of coal in the individual heating systems.Pöyry's assignment includes engineering, procurement and supply ofthe components and supervision of installation and commissioning ofthe main heat exchanger station, heat transmission piping andconsumer substations. The equipment will be supplied from Finland andChina. The project is scheduled to start during the autumn 2009 andthe first heat delivery will take place in autumn 2010.
