Homes, Commercial Properties, Home Sites, Land to Sell in Series of Atlanta Auctions
(firmenpresse) - MARIETTA, GA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/11 -- Forty-seven homes, six commercial properties, and scores of home sites will be among the foreclosed properties to be auctioned over three days beginning Aug. 30. Marietta-based will market the properties and conduct the auctions.
"This is such a big sale we had to divide it into three days, and it has a lot of variety, including everything from investment homes to high-end home sites. For example, we'll be selling some excellent lots in the high-end Durham Lakes subdivision, a development in Fairburn that has become known for its Durham Lakes Country Club, which was voted one of Georgia's top 100 courses by Golf Styles Magazine of Atlanta," said Dixon. The sale includes more than 200 properties in 16 Georgia counties, selling in 115 offerings, many of which include several properties.
The auctions will be held Aug. 30, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the Quality Hotel & Conference Center Atlanta Airport South, with the bidding set to begin each day at 11 a.m.
Dixon said many of the properties represent an opportunity for long-term investors.
"When you look at the volatility of the stock market, investing in real estate at today's suppressed prices makes a lot of sense. All the excess has been washed out of the real estate market, and these properties -- most of which will sell absolute -- will probably sell at prices that represent excellent values for long-term investors," said Dixon.
